The equation of an alternating voltage is V=220sin[ωt+π/6] and . . .

Question : The equation of an alternating voltage is V=220sin[ωt+π/6] and the equation for current is I=10sin[ωt+π/6]. Find the impedance (in ohm) of the circuit.

Solution :
V=220sin[ωt+π/6]
I=10sin[ωt+π/6]

On comparing the above equations with standard equations of alternating voltage and current, we will get
V₀ = 220 V
I₀ = 10 A

Impedance (Z) = V₀/I₀
Z = 220/10
Z = 22 Ω
