Solution : The direction of propagation of an electromagnetic wave of wave is given by the cross product of Electric Field (E) vector and Magnetic field vector (B) i.e. E×B. So using the Right Hand Thumb Rule or Right Handed Screw Rule, the direction of the propagation of the electromagnetic wave will be perpendicular to E and and out of plane of the paper.

So, (a) perpendicular to E and and out of plane of the paper, would be the correct option.
