Irms = √[(I12+I22)/2]
Irms = √[(2)2+(-2)2)/2]
Irms = √[(4+4)/2]
Irms = √[8/2]

Irms = 2 A
Irms = √[(I12+I22)/2]
Irms = √[(2)2+(-2)2)/2]
Irms = √[(4+4)/2]
Irms = √[8/2]
Irms = √4
Irms = 2 A
Hence, RMS value of alternating current is 2 A.
